Have a great Memorial Day Holiday!

Oops...The initial sending of this newsletter contained some bad links. These have now been corrected.  We regret the inconvenience!

Hi %CUST_1%Ok, we hope everyone has made their plans by now for Memorial Day!   It's this coming Monday and it's the official launch for the 2008 Sizzling Summer Spectacular being held in your very own backyard!

Be sure to invite some friends or family over for a great meal from your pit.

We've been working to figure out what special topic to cover for the first day of this year's summer grilling season.  We have come to the conclusion that it is impossible to pick the one topic to help everyone to make just the right entree.  Since we've spent YEARS adding new and useful information to Barbecue'n On The Internet, we thought the only thing to do would be to provide links to what we feel is the best of the best information on all topics.

The following are selected topics that we feel will help most grillers and barbecuists to make their Memorial Day a better outdoor cooking day.

Enjoy!

Blue Burger

We suspect lots of you will be doing burgers for Memorial Day because they are easy and great.  Everyone loves burgers!

Here is a great recipe for the day.

Let's begin by collecting the following ingredients:

Burgers.    1 pound of ground beef
        1 Tbs. Worcestershire Sauce
5 Tbs. lightly sauteed chopped onions
        5 Tbs. crumbled blue cheese
        2 tsp lemon pepper
        1/2 tsp garlic powder
        2 tsp fresh ground pepper
        1 tsp salt

Mix all ingredients [except the blue cheese] into hamburger meat and gently make into about 5 thick paddies. Cook until about 145 to 160 F. degrees internal temperature. ALWAYS USE YOUR MEAT THERMOMETER TO PREVENT BEING OVER/UNDER DONE.

Place on toasted onion buns with all the trimmings. You will never go back to plain burgers again!

    Enjoy.
