 Great New Tips!

While each tip can mostly stand alone, it is best to read them all and incorporate them into an overall assault on the grill. Be sure to have your assault well fortified with your favorite beverage! Today's tip is:

Grilling Vegetables

As fall approaches, so do gardens and fresh vegetables. Let's try some great new items on the grill. Zucchini, squash, tomatoes, asparagus, potatoes and many other great vegetables can be safely and flavorfully prepared on the backyard grill quite simply. If you haven't gone in this direction, then try it and enjoy fine grilled accompaniments to your grilled meats.

We recommend lightly coating the cut up vegetables with a light olive oil to protect the skin from drying and burning. Then sprinkle the vegetables with your favorite seasonings. Some great seasonings for veggies are: rosemary, parsley, garlic, oil and vinegar salad dressing, black pepper, salt, basil, thyme and the list goes on.

A grilling wok or shaker basket makes it easy and quick to grill vegetables to perfection! Besides, the pieces don't fall through the grate into the fire!

Try this one:

1 zucchini - sliced into disks
1 yellow squash - sliced into disks
1 small red onion - sliced into disks

Coat with Kraft or similar spicy oil and vinegar salad dressing. Sprinkle lightly with thyme, basil and fresh black pepper.

Place in a wok or shaker basket over a medium-hot charcoal/gas fire and grill until tender. Remove. Sit down. Eat!

Good Luck!
