While each tip can mostly stand alone, it is best to read them all and incorporate them into an overall assault on the grill. Be sure to have your assault well fortified with your favorite beverage! Today's tip is:

Cleaning the Meat

This is a simple one that many beginners may simply overlook. The compulsive leftbrainers would never forget . . . . . When you return from the butcher . . . not the baker or candle stick maker . . . . take a moment, just before seasoning the meat and give the meat a bath. Gently rinse the meat, poultry or fish and pat dry. This will remove any odors and materials that may have been deposited prior to this point. It also sets the meat up to accept the desired seasonings. There is also the sense of taking care of the food that is going to take care of you! Enjoy! !
