Soon it will be open season on grilling!

On March 20th, Spring arrives with hope and promise of some really great barbecue!

"The Pits"

Barbecue Style

There are many different types of barbecue pits on the market today...most of which resemble the builder. Sort of like the dog matching it's owner.  Regardless, it is quite interesting to peruse the different types of pits that have been created over the many years. Some are professional, as in the JedMaster Barbecue Pits and and the Klose Barbecue Pits, while others are are more "earthy" as in home grown.  All are quite functional and interesting to look at.

Keep in mind, each barbecue pit has a personality of it's own.  They heat differently, cook differently and hold the heat differently.  When cooking on a pit, other than your own, rest assured it will be challenging the first several times.

While at a recent cook-off event, we met and took photos
of a former Houston Oiler who was enjoying the day.

Your only hint:

He has his own line of barbecue sauce and sausage and his cooking team
was offering free samples which were really quite good.

He is the one wearing his Warner Brothers' Tee-Shirt! Check him out!

I hope you enjoy these photos!
