Turkey Injection Mix

Comments
Injecting turkeys, chickens and hens has been going on for a long time. Here is a simple recipe from Smoky which gets you going in the right direction. Next step, try changing the mix to suit your pallets!

Smoky Hale

To prepare your turkey injection, combine the following ingredients:
    1/4 Cup oil
    1/4 C. water
    3 T. Worcestershire sauce
    1 Tbs salt
    2 tsp garlicpowder
    2 tsp onion powder
    1 tsp ground bay
    1 tsp ground thyme
    1 tsp ground sage
1 tsp fersh ground black pepper

Turkey Injection MixSimmer 5 minutes and allow to cool before injecting.

SMOKY NOTE: You really aren't going to do much good trying to inject into a turkey breast. Best effort will be to inject small amounts in a lot of locations.

Ed. Note: Try injecting the whole bird.

Have fun,
Smoky
