The 'dog days of summer' is the outdoor cooking season.

School's begun and the weather is beginning to cool.  Better make the most of the remaining warmer weather.  Don't put your grills away until you absolutely have to!  There are many good grilling days left this year.

Spicy Orange Marinade

Comments

California citrus originated with the planting of hundreds of orange and lemon seedlings on two acres in Los Angeles in 1841 by a trapper named William Wolfskill. You can thank him the next time you peal a juicy orange! Orange flavor is great on poultry, .... duck, turkey, chicken and Cornish hens.

Gather the following items:
    1/2 cup melted butter
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup orange juice
    2 Tbs Gran Marnier
2 tsp. fresh cracked black pepper
    1/4 tsp cayenne
    salt to taste

Spicy Orange MarinadeTry this marinade on your favorite poultry. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly in a glass bowl. Allow the poultry to marinate covered in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours turning occasionally. Cook in indirect heat until done.

Enjoy!
