Island Marinade

Each year 'bout this time, we begin to think about vacations in far away places. What comes to mind is blue water, white beaches, cool drinks and great flavors of outdoor cooking. So is it any wonder that we migrate south to the cool Pacific beaches.

Directions: This recipe can be used with beef, poultry or seafood. Try them all and enjoy the beaches. Mix the following ingredients:

    1/4 cup turbinado sugar (or white)
    1/4 cup soy sauce
    2 Tbls. olive oil
    1/4 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
    2 cloves of garlic - grated
    1 tsp salt

Marinate the meat for 1 hour in a plastic or stainless steel bowl in the refrigerator. Fire up the grill and grill each side until firm.

Enjoy!
