Hot 'n Sweet Pork Chops

Comments:

"The Other White Meat" so the marketing literature goes...  We just like the great taste of a pork chop grilled over the coals for that wonderful flavor.  If you have a gas grill, use your smoker box to add additional flavor to your chops. Enjoy!

6-8 boneless pork chops
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 cup water
4 Tbs olive oil
1 Tbs soy sauce
2 tsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
salt and ground pepper, to taste

Preheat your outdoor grill and add salt and pepper to both sides of your chops.

Hot 'n Sweet Pork ChopsNext, in a saucepan over medium heat (don't burn the sugar!), dissolve brown sugar, apple juice, oil, soy sauce, ginger and cayenne pepper. Just as the sauce begins to bubble, add dissolve cornstarch in the water and stir until sauce begins to thicken.

Place your chops on a lightly-oiled grill grate and cook for 10 to 12 minutes on each side. Your pork chops will be ready once they reach an internal temperature of about 150°-155° using an instant read meat thermometer.  Finally brush with sauce just before removing from grill. Serve hot with remaining sauce.
