Grilled Calamari

Comments:

Some may find this a little squeamish, however for the more adventuresome, these will really delight you.

Enjoy!

First, collect the following ingredients:

2 pounds cleaned squid - tentacles separated from the bodies, rinsed and dried
    1/4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
    1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    2 teaspoons fresh oregano leaves
    1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
Fresh ground black pepper as desired
    1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Slice the squid bodies along the sides to open flat and then lightly score the insides, but not cutting through all the way.

Combine 2 tablespoons of the olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, garlic, salt, and Old Bay Seasoning in a bowl. Add all the squid parts - bodies and tentacles and coat thoroughly. Marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours, turning occasionally.

Grilled CalamariPreheat the grill to high heat. Grill the squid, until they turn opaque and slightly golden, - about 2 to 3 minutes. Remove and slice into strips.

Place squid on grilled, buttered toast and serve. Lightly drizzle with additional extra virgin olive oil as desired.

Enjoy!
