The 'dog days of summer' is the outdoor cooking season.

School's begun and the weather is beginning to cool.  Better make the most of the remaining warmer weather.  Don't put your grills away until you absolutely have to!  There are many good grilling days left this year.

Beer Can Chicken

Comments:

Not to be disrespectful to the heads of state where kings and queens reign, but preparing Chicken On A Throne is symbolic of toasting the monarchs. This stuff is to be worshipped!

Enjoy!

Simply combine the following and add to either a beer can or chicken sitter:

6 ounces of water, beer or wine (red or white)
    juice from 1 lemon
    1/4 onion - chopped coarsely
    2 cloves of garlic, mashed
Optional: Any dry barbecuing seasoning you favor

Fill the container approximately 1/2 full and add the additional ingredients. Place chicken over the mouth of the container and cook as directed above. For flavoring the outside of the chicken, we recommend using the Spicy Chicken Baste recipe.

Enjoy!
