Basily Burgers

Hamburgers!Are you tired of the same ol' - same ol' burgers on the grill weekend after weekend?  Well end the cycle now and add a little pizzazz to your life.

Once you bite into this burger with its basil, Parmesan cheese and garlic accents you will immediately be transported to the Tuscany area of Italy! So, let's get started by collecting the following ingredients:

    2 lbs fresh ground beef
    2 cloves garlic - minced
    1 egg - slightly beaten
    2/3 cup finely chopped sweet onion
    1/2 cup Parmesan cheese - grated
    1 Tbs dried basil
    1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
    1/4 cup catsup
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp cinnamon
    Hamburger buns, lettuce, tomato slices, onions, pickles, mayo and mustard as desired

Using a large mixing bowl, combine the egg, chopped onion, Parmesan cheese, basil, catsup, garlic, cinnamon salt and pepper.  Once combined, add the ground beef and mix thoroughly.  Prepare 8 patties - about 3/4ths inch thick.  For convenience and to keep them from sticking together, separate each patty with Hamburger Patty Papers

  • Prepare a medium hot fire and cook directly over the heat until the internal temperature reaches 160° using an instant read thermometer.
  • Serve burgers to your favorite friends and family.
