FAQ Subject: How do I cean a porcelain cooking grid?

What is the proper cleaning procedure and general maintenance for a porcelain cooking grid? Thanks and God Bless America!

Hi J,

Best thing is not to cruddy them up. Wait until they get hot enough before putting meat on. Don't try to turn it before it releases. Don't put sugary or tomatoey sauces on too heavily at high temperatures. However, when you mess them up, remove and put in a plastic bag/container with top, pour in a little household ammonia and close up tight. Leave overnight and the fumes will dissolve or soften all the crud.

Have fun,
Smoky
