Topic: What about the Grillery?
From: Greg Merrigan
Subject: The Grillery

Smoky,

I'm new to to non-gas type grills and am looking for one that I can use for broiling, using wood for the fuel. Have you had any experience with the Grillery at www.grillworks.com/grill? Kind of pricey, but looks nice.

Thanks,

Greg Merrigan

Hi Greg,

In my estimation there are two things wrong with the grillery. Foremost is a fatal design flaw which proposes to cook meat in the smoke of burning wood. The second you have already identified.

Check the Charbroil CB900 for about $200.00. PRoperly used it will do all. Bigger and better built is the Pitts & Spitts Combo at abour $500.

Read around on the website for several other good grills and check for the FAQs to find those you don't want to buy.

Luck,

Smoky
